There are a couple reasons why you’d need to remove the door panels, like replacing a door module or window regulator. It isn’t a hard job, you just need to know a couple things to get the job done.

Needed

Tools needed to remove the door bars
T20 Torx bit
Short extension
Ratchet
5mm Allen key
Philips-head screwdriver
About 15 minutes

Step 1

Remove the door bars.

Step 2

Remove the T20 Torx screw inside the round vent (pictured below).

Remove the T20 Torx screw in the very top corner of the door panel above the vent (not pictured).

Step 3

Remove the four T20 Torx screws along the bottom of the door panel, circled in the picture below.

Step 4

Carefully lift upwards on the door panel. Once the top has cleared the door, the panel can be pulled out slightly from the door.

When you have enough space, reach behind the door panel and disconnect the plug for the window controls. Now the door panel can be completely removed. Make sure you safely route the cable while removing the door panel.

Step 5

Follow the steps above in reverse order to reinstall the door panel and door bar.

And that’s it!
